At Design Bug we create design solutions and branding tools that get businesses seen and heard above the babble. We reach from unpretentious beginnings, starting life in a home office and growing to include four university qualified designers as well as a network of specialists for web development, printing, photography and copy writing. We’re turbulent about telling your story through design, and we do this by getting to know what you’re trying to achieve and what your business needs to get there. This enriches the original process and ensures we can thrive solutions that align with your vision. Our mission is to leave the studio each day knowing that we’ve done everything to aid our clients and that we’ve all had a immense time working towards your goals. This duo had perpetual dreamed of starting a business together, but it wasn’t until Kristy was left with a lasting back injury from a vehicle accident that things started taking shape. The idea for Design Bug came to Kristy while lying entirely still in an MRI machine and has evolved from there. Their mother’s first car was a MW beetle and they’d always wanted one of their own, and so the inspiration for Design Bug was created out of a mutual love for design and cute automobiles. The operation quickly became too much for the home office and Kristy and Rebecca relocated to a studio in the heart of Newcastle. Now with two more designers on the team and their very own MW Beetle, the Design Bug family is growing. Meet the girls who make your ideas reach to life. While nice tuning her design skills, she’ll be making safe that the Design Bug office continues to be a healthy oiled machine! Kristy Cody Owner Designer Back from maternity leave, Kristy is enjoying a return to part-time labor and being able to reconnect with her passion for print design. She loves seeing how a brand can be transformed and kept consistent across all mediums. You’ll find Be occupied all hours of the day and night to make safe each deadline is met! With a strong background in branding and print design, she acknowledges that both design and function have their place on the web.
